SEM images of uncoated (a, c) and CoCaP-coated BiominCol membranes (b, d) after 21 days of cell culture. Cells were removed prior to imaging. Both substrates showed signs of disruption of intrafibrillar membrane structure by cells. On the CoCaP-coated BiominCol membrane, rounded depressions with a diameter of about 20 μm were observed that resemble resorption lacunae (yellow arrows)
