The effects of the 50% EtOH extract and EtOAc fraction of coffee silverskin in UVB-irradiated HaCaT cells. HaCaT cells were treated with different concentration of the samples in the absence (a) or presence (b and c) of 400 mJ/cm2 UVB. The cytotoxicity was then determined by the MTT assay 24 h after UVB irradiation. The effect of coffee silverskin EtOAc fraction on caspase-3 expression was detected by western blot analysis (d). Data are presented as mean ± S.D. values. *p < 0.05 compared with the UVB-irradiated control, #p < 0.05 compared with the UVB-non-irradiated control. β-actin was used as an internal control
